Poetry, story and music.

Begin and ends with you. And an amazing Engelbert song.

Begin and ends with you.

(Finally, a new poem.)

Once upon a time, I held a beautiful Scottish gal.

She had gorgeous golden-brown eyes and she was so kind. We had Spring and we had the days of Summer.

We didn’t know. The promises of love can be broken by the chaos of life. Once on a beautiful late May Day. I told her. My life begins and ends with you. Please stay with me till the end of days.

She told me. Johnnie, promises are made to be broken. Love needs reminders and forgiveness. Tonight we are coffee, talking and kisses. If we forget who we are. Will you remember me?

I told her. Some faces, some places and some memories are tattoos on our hearts and mind. They become a part of us. To remind us. We knew love, we saw great cities and memories become sweeter with time.

She laughed and she smiled. She asked me. Johnnie, Johnnie. You are making kind and hopeful wishes. Can we keep the promises made?

Today the old man sits in his garden with his dog. He remembers his four children, he remembers his five grandchildren. He is thankful for a wife who loved him in the good and the bad days.

And he remembers a young man by a German lake, holding a beautiful Scottish gal and he told her. You will always be part of my heart. You taught me what love should me. Thank you dear Sheena.

John
