Between two points.
(New site and new poetry number two.)
1- You were a warm Spring Day, and I was a Winter storm.
I didn’t know one kiss; I didn’t know one embrace, and I didn’t know one dance. You would steal my mind and my heart forever.
2- Did I run to you or did you come to me? You were the prettiest gal I ever seen and I asked you. My dancing and laughing German gal. Where do we go from this second? Your eyes gained hardness and you told me. Life is seconds, life is minutes and life is hours. We must make every second worthwhile. We must gather a million kisses and a million love words. Tomorrow will come and tonight we must make this our best night.
3- I have forgotten more than I can remember. I have become the old man who loved his garden, who loved his family and his dog. Once I wanted to save our world and I have learned. We can’t save the world that doesn’t want to be saved. But we can be kind, help the people near and be kind to the earth.
4- Between two points.
Right and wrong.
Love or hate.
Kindness or blindness.
Do we meet someday in the middle or are we destine to be alone?
John
